Cynthia Probst, LMHC has over 30 years of experience working in the mental health field.
She has worked with numerous not-for-profit and private agencies with a wide variety of client populations; adults, children, adolescents, families. Her primary specialty interests are eating disorders, trauma, depression, anxiety, and other major mental health challenges. In addition to her work with Farrington, she maintains a private practice and teaches part-time at Ivy Tech Community College.
“After many years of experience as a counselor, I feel privileged to have a profession that still challenges me every day and offers me the opportunity to "pay it forward" to the future of my profession. If I have any overriding philosophy in my practice it is that I approach each individual client with curiosity. I believe it's important to see my clients as individuals with their own unique experiences, histories and strengths, and challenges. My clients are never a diagnosis to me. They are individuals with their own stories. My job is to hear those stories, and experiences with respect, and hopefully contribute in a positive way to their ongoing journey.”
